Almost a year ago I became officially obsessed with the bento lunch phenomenon. I had even ordered a box and (after several shipping woes) finally received it and was overjoyed. Of course, I was silly and completely forgot to post photos on my site of the cute box and my very first lunch in it! I think I was even scolded by a few people for forgetting, hehe. So here you are! :D
Last week I also ordered a ton of super cute bento accessories (and two new boxes!) to celebrate my entrance into the “big kid” workforce. No more quick 30-minute meals in the retail store break room for me! I now get a lovely hour of leisure lunch time. :) One challenge will be to keep myself from driving to the super close outlet malls where all the fast food is.
Unfortunately I’m also sitting on my booty in front of the computer more now. So this means an even bigger push for healthier eating. What better way to start than by going on the “Bento Diet”, ha! This means more veggies, fish and rice with delectable sauces in adorably-arranged settings. The better looking it is, the better it will taste! Anyone have some tasty rice or fish recipes (or any really) that I could pack into a lunch?
I’m so excited! I plan on making a photo blog of the lunches I make with all my fab new goodies! :D Hopefully I can get some great recipes and creative display ideas for the boxes. Maybe I can get Chaz into it too, we both really do need to eat better.
One last tiny thing, my brand new TCG Trading Post is finished and open! If anyone knows of some very active TCGs (relevant to my interests) then please suggest. :)

I’d love to get into the whole bento thing…I mean, even if I don’t have to eat out at work/school, I’d still totally dig eating out of a bunny face (or something cute like that), lol.

I used to LOVE tcgs… I even owned a couple that were very successful, but the tcg world has slowed down quite a bit lately… I kinda miss it though, so might join some again, but I’m scared I’ll open up my own again, and I really don’t have time for that… lol :p

And this entry is totally making me crave sushi! I’d love if you posted your favorite bento recipes- my eating habits are terrible and I’m frequently too lazy to cook, but this looks like something I could rouse myself to do.
