Relaxing at Myrtle Beach!

Last weekend, for the Memorial Day holiday, my best friend Jess and I went to Myrtle Beach! It’s located over in South Carolina, took about 9 hours to drive there from Kentucky. We stayed at the very secluded and lovely Springmaid Resort (highly recommended) and totally loved our room, which had a great view!

The View

Overall it was a great trip! We spent the entire time just laying on the beach, reading books, talking about random things and people watching. We made Seabreezes (vodka, cranberry juice, grapefruit juice and limes) with umbrella straws, stuck our feet in the sand and collected sea shells.

Waves

People watching was one of the most fun things to do. Fortunately there were no flabby men wearing speedos or women in thong bikinis (those were actually illegal on the beach, according to the hotel manual, haha)! There were lots of surfers to watch when the tide came in during the evenings! We even witnessed a lifeguard pulling a little girl out of the strong current and the multitude of paperwork that followed. O_o

The Pier

We definitely needed that mini-holiday. Sometimes it’s worth it to just do nothing for a few days… nothing but chill out in a relaxing environment and read a good book. We did no sightseeing, except for a walk on the pier, so we weren’t stressed to go anywhere. It was awesome, I hope to go back someday. :D

Wow! That’s cool! I am actually going to be going there for the 4th of July! Good thing they were able to save that girl. ^_^

I’ll have to check out that hotel. Looks nice!

I found something you may be interested in: Fan-Free Laptop Cooling! Sounds really cool, but i don’t know much about that ozone thing they mention in the last few paragraphs.

Yay! Your home. I can stop crying, lol. I am so glad you had fun. I even have a crafty idea for those shells of yours. As soon as I get it scanned into the computer I send it to you. Or if you read Woman’s World you have probably already seen it.
