I feel silly for not jumping on this sooner, but better late than never. :D Ravelry is holding their own “games” during the 2012 London Olympics, called the Ravellenic Games! During this event, which runs the same time as the Olympics, knitters and crocheters from around the world cast on to participate in a series of yarncrafting events in order to challenge ourselves in the skill. :D
I am part of two teams, Team Owlie (with my sisters) and Team Good Without God (with my friend Hanna). My event projects can only be for one team at a time, so I’m going to have to divide them up. There are also “training” events and both teams offer cool prizes for participants, so I’m super excited. The “Mass Cast On” is scheduled to begin when the Olympics opening ceremony commences, I can’t wait!! :D
To dress up my project page for the events, I’ve created a ton of placeholder images to attach to my projects! If you are also participating, please feel free to use any of these for your own projects:
NOTE: I’m aware that lots o’ my blog posts photos aren’t showing up. That is because I recently cleaned out my Flickr account. I’ll be replacing them all soon, I promise! :D
