Playing catch up with the project’s blog posts, hehe. The 7th week was the week of Valentine’s Day! Chaz and I have never been much for celebrating it too traditionally (we bought each other office chairs one year) but it’s still a nice excuse to indulge in sugary and chocolatey things. ;D
43/365 – Casserole
My sisters and I are embarking on a “casserole-a-thon” for the next few months. Every weekend we’ll make a different casserole! This weekend was Swiss Asparagus!
44/365 – Kindle Case
I crocheted a Kindle case last night! The only thing I did differently from the pattern was add a little button strap. The case probably didn’t need it (it fits quite snugly) but I liked it for cuteness. :D
45/365 – Valentines
A rose from my husband, cookies and heart-shaped sugar cubes from my sister! :D The green cookies are shaped and decorated to be artichokes because artichokes have hearts!
46/365 – Kira
It’s hard to get a picture of Kira sometimes, because she runs really fast (usually Hugo is chasing her). She’s such a pretty kitty though, with that cute mush-face. :D
47/365 – Books
I’ve been slowly gathering a nice collection of books about organization, homemade products, reskilling, and other odds n’ ends. The top three are such cute reads, using beautiful “old” language (even though they are modern books) and the rest are super useful for lifehacking! ;D
48/365 – Flint
I bought this from Pike Place Market as a souvenir gift for Chaz when I was vacationing in Seattle in 2011. It’s a unique “match lighter”, carved out of a block of wood and inset with a piece of flint! It also has a cool little holder for matches. :)
49/365 – Mexico
I lived in Mexico City, Mexico for two years as a child (military family). Here are a few souvenirs that I collected from there! I don’t remember what everything is exactly (it was over 15yrs ago) but I do know that the whistle in the front was purchased from a vendor at the Aztec pyramids. :3
