Huzzah! :D Welcome to the “transition” theme for Melly.me! I have dubbed it “transition” because I have now officially transferred from my old domain of melly.me. That and this theme looks quite similar to my previous design: same colors, general layout, etc. Please note that this was done on purpose because I wanted to get this going as soon as I could!
The “official” theme that I have planned for this site is in the works and will take several more months to complete. I wanted something nice up for now, so I just built off of the old design. :) I switched around and edited a LOT of content too, so feel free to browse around and see what is different or new. :D
You’ll notice that some pages are “flagged for a clean up” because I haven’t activated their fun features yet. Also some posts need to be re-categorized. I’m going to get to all that in the next couple weeks. :D
That being said, I’m not going to apologize for how long it took, hehe. ;) I fully intended to take ages because from past experience I discovered that rushing myself only caused me more annoyances afterward. Since I took my time in designing and coded everything quite slowly… I believe my work has paid off. :D
It would be awesome if everyone who links me could update the URL to my new domain! For those of you who’s blogs I comment on often, you could even go as far as to change all the references to my old domain in your database! You love me right? :D If you are savvy with MySQL then just do a simple search/replace query.
If you aren’t, and you happen to use WordPress, I’ve found this nifty Search & Replace plugin that will do it all for you. I’ve tested it myself and it works perfectly. Just input to replace all instances of “melly.me” with “melly.me” and voila! :D Link love!
Let me know what you all think! If you have any suggestions about any element of my site, whether it’s design or content related, I am always happy to hear it out. While I do all this because I love to create great web stuff, I also do it for you, because visitors are what keep the site alive. So I highly value your opinion.

I. LOVE. IT. OMG. It looks fantastic, I think you did a great job and I’m glad you took your time! I think it’s an improvement to your last layout, and even then I couldn’t find any flaws. I love the way you’ve laid your pages out (especially your archives page).
A few things you may want to take note of:
1. When you go to your freebies section you offer us three sets of icons, but none of them have previews. I have no idea what I’m downloading exactly, so people may not waste their time checking to see what they look like.
2. You should put thumbnails for the WordPress layouts you’re offering.
Other than that, looking faaaaaantastic! :) You’ve inspired me to work on my website extremely hard now. :P

I’ve been to your site a couple of times, but never stayed around long enough to look and admire it. However, I was bored and did just a few minutes ago, and might I add I am super impressed. Not that me being impressed has any impact on your life whatsoever. Every little detail is just amazing. It looks like you spent a while thinking this theme up, or maybe, possibly you tweaked it over time. Either way, I love it! Every page is just a joy to look at, and my eyes, although tired are entertained everywhere I look. So creative, genius, artistic! Absolutely amazing!
…Can you tell that sucking up is my number one talent ;D Not that that’s what I was doing, I love your site and what I said was true. I just love organized and cute websites. I feel that the top header should have been saved as .PNG to preserve some quality. It’s not that big of an image so it shouldn’t be a problem with loading, anyways GOOD JOB! 10 thumbs up…

XD Haha! Thank you for the compliments, Anthony, I thoroughly appreciate it. :D I actually had my header file as a PNG in the beginning but in IE7 it looked weird, so I reverted back to a JPG. This was a last-minute decision before launch yesterday though, just to preserve my time and sanity. XD But thank you for reminding me of it, as I’ll probably fix it up to work with a PNG again, at least in non-IE browsers. :D And it’s always nice to meet another Kentuckian!

I like the elements of guitar-angel and some new additions you’ve added. I’m really looking forward to seeing your new design. Your designs are so inspirational :) Good luck with designing the rest!
Okay, I just came and saw the layout and was like "This layout is really familiar. It was stolen!" Then I noticed where it said "formerly guitarangel.net" haha. I really like the footer.
